Heartsaver CPR/AED:

The Heart saver CPR & AED Course is a practical two-hour training programme designed for people with little or no medical background who want to learn how to respond confidently in a life-threatening emergency.

​

The course teaches the essential lifesaving skills needed to recognise cardiac arrest, perform high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and assist someone who is choking.

​

Participants will learn through a practice-while-watching video format, supported by experienced instructors who provide guidance and feedback while participants practice CPR techniques on a manikin.

What Participants Will Learn:

• Recognise cardiac arrest
• Perform CPR for adults, children and infants
• Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Assist a choking casualty

Course Duration:

2 hours Full Digital Certification from the Irish Heart Foundation - valid for 2 years

Certification:

Participants who demonstrate high-quality CPR skills at the end of the course will receive an IHF/AHA Heartsaver AED Course Completion Card, which is valid for two years.

First Aid Responder (FAR) Course 3 DAY PHECC Certified

At StaySafe Training, we deliver a comprehensive First Aid Responder (FAR) Course designed to provide participants with the essential skills required to respond effectively to life-threatening emergencies in the workplace and community.

This course is delivered in line with Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) guidelines and incorporates the full Cardiac First Response Community standard. The training combines theory and practical instruction to ensure participants are confident and competent in real-life emergency situations.

Who Should Attend:

This course is suitable for:

  • Workplace first aiders 

  • Construction personnel 

  • Supervisors and managers 

  • Teachers and childcare staff 

  • Sports coaches and volunteers 

  • Anyone wishing to become a certified first aider

There are currently no prerequisites for this course. Participants should be physically capable of carrying out CPR and practical skills including:

  • CPR and AED use 

  • Recovery position 

  • Choking management 

  • Bandaging and bleeding control

Course Content:

  • First Aid in the Workplace

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this course participants will be able to:

The First Aid Responder (FAR) Recertification Course delivered by StaySafe Training is designed for participants who currently hold a valid PHECC First Aid Responder Certificate and need to renew their qualification.

This 2-day recertification course refreshes essential life-saving skills and updates participants in line with current Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) guidelines. The course focuses on practical skills, scenario-based learning, and reassessment of competencies to ensure first aiders remain confident and capable in emergency situations.

This course is suitable for:

  • Current First Aid Responders 

  • Workplace first aiders
